Iceland Volcanic Eruption: As of 22 April 2010:
- As travellers are aware the volcanic eruption in Iceland and the subsequent ash cloud impacted European airspace resulting in the closure of numerous European airports. In this regard, travellers to Europe and Scandinavian countries are urged to continue to contact their travel agencies or flight representatives in order to confirm departures of their booked scheduled flights.
- Most airports in Europe are reported open with airlines resuming scheduled flights.
- South African travellers affected by the volcanic eruption can contact SAA at 011 978 9111 or consult their website at http://www.flysaa.com/ for assistance with re-booking of their flights on an alternative date.
