Minister Dlamini Zuma arrives in Botswana ahead of SADC Council
of Ministers Meeting

Dlamini Zuma landed in Gaborone, Botswane on Wednesday, 22 February 2006 ahead
of the scheduled SADC Foreign Ministers Council due on Thursday-Friday, 23-24
Minister Dlamini Zuma is leading a South African government
delegation to the meeting within the context of South Africa's commitment to the
strengthening and consolidation of SADC institutions and the implementation the
Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISDP).
The 14-member SADC
Foreign Ministers Council is expected to deliberate, upon among others:
regional political and economic situation;
- Finances of
- SADC-European Union co-operation; and
- A report of
the Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Co-operation.
Dlamini Zuma is expected to return to South Africa on Saturday, 25 February 2006.
