ONLINE ACCREDITATION FOR JOURNALISTS NOW AVAILABLE

The Directorate of Information and Communication (DIC) of the African Union announces that the online accreditation process for the coverage of the 25th AU Summit, scheduled to take place from the 7th to the 15th June 2015 in South Africa has been launched on the AU website: www.au.int.

All the journalists interested in covering the upcoming AU Summit should register through the following link: http://summits.au.int/en/25thsummit/accreditation

A media advisory note explaining all the detailed arrangements for media coverage of the 25th AU Summit will soon be posted on the Summit web page: http://summits.au.int/en/25thsummit

Meanwhile representatives of the media are kindly informed that the 25th African Union Summit is scheduled to take place as follows:

Sunday 7 and Monday 8 June 2015: Thirtieth (30th) Ordinary Session of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC)

Venue: Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Pretoria,

Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 June 2015: Twenty Seventh (27th) Ordinary Session of the Executive Council

Venue: Sandton Convention Center Johannesburg,

Sunday 14 and Monday 15 June 2015: Twenty Fifth (25th) Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

Venue: Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg,

The theme of the Summit is: “Year of Women’s Empowerment and Development towards Africa’s Agenda 2063”
