Deputy Minister Botes makes follow-up visit George; embarks on District Development Model and Back-to-School campaigns
The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Alvin Botes, will on 17-19 January 2022 make a follow-up visit to George, Western Cape Province. The visit forms part of government’s District Development Model and Back-to-School campaigns.
On Monday, the Deputy Minister will hold meetings with the leadership of the Garden Route District Municipality.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Deputy Minister Botes will visit Parkedene High School and Tabatha Primary School.
The purpose of the Back to School campaign is to encourage learners to stay in school and to inform and educate learners about the mandate of the Department.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, it is expected that only a limited number of learners will participate in the events, with strict health safety protocols being adhered to.
