  • Welcome to the South African High Commission website in Kingston, Jamaica (Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Haiti, Commonwealth of Dominica, Belize, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda)
  • South African High Commission in Kingston, Jamaica is determined to promote national foreign interest of our Government through building, forging stronger economic and political cooperation with the above mentioned Islands which will be a direct product of a successful diplomatic relations.
  • It should be noted that South Africans wishing to travel to the islands mentioned above should follow the guidelines hereunder
Information for South African Passport Holders travelling to the following countries:

JAMAICA

citizen who is a holder of a national passport (Diplomatic, official or ordinary) is not required to hold a visa for an intended stay of 180 days or less. Visa will be required after the permitted time.

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

citizen who is a holder of a national passport (Diplomatic, official or ordinary) is not required to hold a visa for an intended stay of 1 month  or less. Visa will be required after the permitted time.

COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS

citizen who is a holder of a national passport (Diplomatic, official or ordinary) is not required to hold a visa for an intended stay of 3 months or less. Visa will be required after the permitted time.

BELIZE

COMMONWEALTH OF THE DOMINICA

citizen who is a holder of a national passport (Diplomatic, official or ordinary) is not required to hold a visa for an intended stay of 6 months or less. Visa will be required after the permitted time.

HAITI

citizen who is a holder of a national passport (Diplomatic, official or ordinary) is not required to hold a visa for an intended stay of 3 months or less. Visa will be required after the permitted time.

  • It is important to note that transiting visa will be required if going through Britain or the USA for travelling to the Islands from South Africa.
  • Please be advised that it is of permanent importance for every South African to inform Department of International Relations and Cooperation when one is visiting these Islands. You can send your email to:

  • These will assist amongst other things in case of Hurricane’s etc. We know who and where to look for assistance.

 

  • It is important also in the email to give full details of the person or people to be contacted in case of emergency
