Join the Footwear and Accessories Sourcing Delegation to South Africa, hosted by the South African Department of Trade and Industry.

Dates: 22 – 26 January, 2018

Since its first democratic elections more than twenty years ago, South Africa has made giant leaps in the world of fashion, apparel and most specially footwear.

South Africa's wealth of natural resources, its well-developed infrastructure, a large labour resource and its attractive export and investment incentives not to mention the continuation of the AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act) till 2025, has established its strategic position as a major export base.
It is not only a Gateway to the African Continent; it is the gateway to the huge U.S. market and the rest of the world.

AGOA which allows duty-free access for South African made footwear into the United States, has created major trade opportunities for world renowned footwear companies like Puma, Clarkes UK, Jordan, Johnston and Murphy, Bata, Marks and Spencer, just to name a few.

And the fact that South Africa is a major producer and supplier of all types of leather to the world has certainly made South Africa even more competitive when it comes to footwear manufacturing.

This year the South African Department of Trade and Industry is pleased to announce its BUYERS PROGRAMME where a few buyer delegates from the U.S. footwear industry will get to network with South African manufacturers of quality footwear and accessories and experience site visits, seminars and of course tour the country in the process.

Approved buyer delegates will receive complimentary round-trip economy airfares, hotel accommodation and land transport transfers to and from meetings based on the official programme.

Please note that only companies with significant buying capacity will be prioritized.

So let us know if you or someone you know in the footwear industry community is interested. Contact details are as follows:
